Director David Ayer already has Brad Pitt lined up to lead his new film Fury, a drama that follows five crew members of an American Sherman tank called Fury as they head into battle during the final days of World War II in 1945 as the Nazi regime begins to collapse. In addition, Shia LaBeouf was added to the cast just over a week ago, and now another young talented actor is joining the crew. Deadline has word that Percy Jackson and Perks of Being a Wallflower star Logan Lerman has landed the role of Norman Ellison, a typist who is also the youngest and most inexperienced member of the crew, thrust into being the gunner.
It sounds like QED and Sony Pictures is surrounding Pitt with some big name young talent in order to cover all their demographics. We could be looking at a film with as impressive of a cast as other period war dramas like The Thin Red Line or Saving Private Ryan. We’re not sure how many roles are left to be filled, but there are at least two more members of the tank crew to be cast with an eye towards shooting this fall, so more names should be finalized very soon. Either way, I’m already on board, especially with a cast like this working with Ayer after his impressive work on End of Watch. How about you?
I’m so excited to see Logan work with Shia & Brad!

Logan attended the 24th Annual GLAAD Media Awards on April 20th, in Los Angeles, California. Mae Whitman and Johnny Simmons from “The Perks of Being a Wallflower” cast as well as the writer and director, Stephen Chbosky, also attended the event. Enjoy the high and medium quality images I’ve uploaded.
Logan attended the 2013 MTV Movie Awards April 14th. I’ve added high and medium quality images to the gallery. Logan has a cast on his wrist, it looks like he broke it. Hopefully it will heal in no time! Unfortunately Logan lost the “Best Kiss” award with Emma Watson to Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper in the Silver Linings Playbook and lost the “Best Musical Moment” award for The Perks to Pitch Perfect. Anyway, check out the images I’ve added below:
Twentieth Century Fox has moved up the release date for Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters a week-and-a-half from Friday, August 16 to Wednesday, August 7. This change puts the release date just five days after 2 Guns and 300: Rise of an Empire and only two days before Disney’s Planes, Elysium and We’re the Millers.
Directed by Thor Freudenthal, Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters stars Logan Lerman, Brandon T. Jackson, Alexandra Daddario, Douglas Smith, Mary Birdsong, Yvette Nicole Brown, Missi Pyle, Nathan Fillion, Anthony Head, Paloma Kwiatkowski, Leven Rambin, Stanley Tucci, Robert Maillet and Zoe Aggeliki.

The trailer has released for the second film in the Percy Jackson series, “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.” You can view the trailer below, as well as a new interview Logan recently did talking about the film.
Monday, the first trailer for “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” debuted exclusively on MTV News, and the preview was fit for the gods (and half-bloods). After three years of waiting, Percy and the rest of the Olympians are back for another adventure, this time to find the legendary Golden Fleece.
To get even more mythological goodness out of the preview, MTV News’ Josh Horowitz recently sat down with star Logan Lerman to find out what would be different this time around. “The first one was big,” Lerman said of 2010′s “The Lightning Thief. “It’s definitely a bigger story [in 'Sea of Monsters'], bigger monsters, bigger effects, 3-D.”
As the trailer sets up, “Sea of Monsters” brings back many of the characters from “The Lightning Thief,” but this time, their home is in danger. “It takes place shortly after the end of the first one, and someone has come and poisoned the tree that protects our camp,” Lerman said. “All of the half-bloods are in danger of monsters coming and killing them, so they have to go on this huge quest in the Sea of Monsters to find the Golden Fleece to revive the tree and save the camp. It’s a huge adventure.”
Since the movie is called “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters,” it wouldn’t be asking too much to expect a few monsters to show up onscreen over the course of the film, and in that category, Lerman assured MTV News that they can deliver.
“There are a good number of monsters. It won’t disappoint,” Lerman said. “We did see them on set. It was cool. A lot of them were actually in person, things that would be actually on camera that they’ll redo with visual effects. It was great. We had actors instead of a ball or a mark on a green screen.”
You can catch the rest of the interview with Logan Lerman during “Rated MTV,” airing Friday, April 5 on MTV.
“Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters” opens on August 16. The movie also stars Alexandra Daddario, Stanley Tucci, and Nathan Fillion.
